As reported by Retail Logistics International in their article, the industrial landscape is witnessing a significant step forward in workplace safety. Caster Concepts, has expanded its TWERGO® ergonomic caster line, designed explicitly to mitigate the risk of strain injuries.
TWERGO® stands out due to its unique dumbbell design, which minimizes caster wheel friction, effectively reducing the force required to push or pull materials and completed manufacturing assemblies by up to an impressive 50%, a substantial improvement compared to traditional industrial caster designs.
These independently rotating TWERGO® casters significantly reduce the push force needed to maneuver heavy-duty carts and dollies, enhancing workplace safety. Moreover, the use of polyurethane wheels not only improves safety but also extends caster life, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership for manufacturers.
Doug Backinger, Vice President of Sales at Caster Concepts, emphasizes the critical role of worker safety in today’s manufacturing landscape. He states, “In today’s manufacturing environment, with staffing shortages at an all-time high and fewer people on production lines, the risk of OSHA recordable injuries is greater than ever. Worker safety is a priority in our product design, and, as a result, our industrial casters move more with lower push forces required.”
